 New Dental Products: Sirona Launches New Innovations at CEREC 30 Event

With a mix of software updates, new hardware configurations, and treatment centers, Sirona Dental introduced a bevy of new products during the first day of the company’s CEREC 30th Anniversary Celebration.

The new products launched at the show include CEREC SW 4.4 software, ORTHO SW software, CEREC Guide 2 implant guide software, CEREC AF and CEREC AI hardware configurations, and Transcendental Treatment Centers, according to press releases.

ImageThe software updates are designed to allow clinicians using the CEREC CAD/CAM System to accomplish more, and to accomplish it more efficiently. CEREC SW 4.4 provides faster working speeds and seamless integration with Sirona’s 3D imaging systems, as well as SIDEXIS 4 software. The new BioJaw feature allows clinicians to work with a digital model of the entire jaw for improved digital design execution.

ImageThe new ORTHO SW works with the CEREC Omnicam to allow clinicians to scan full arches for orthodontic treatment planning. Full digital models are automatically generated making it simple to prepare cases for export to an orthodontic laboratory. The system allows the Omnicam to be used to scan and plan cases for Invisalign and Clear Correct as well as additional orthodontic solutions.

ImageCEREC Guide 2 software is designed for improve single implant treatment planning. The system features adjustable stents for customizable case planning, lingual side access makes instrumentation easier, and the software is streamlines the workflow for more efficient patient treatment.

ImageDesigned to help CEREC practices expand their digital footprints, the CEREC AF and CEREC AI configurations bring Omnicam technology to additional operatories. The CEREC AF solution allows a practice with an existing CEREC system to move an Omnicam between operatories and connect it to tablets and other computers. The CEREC AI solution allows the Omnicam to be integrated into Sirona’s treatment centers.

ImageThe new Transcendental treatment centers have previously been available in other parts of the world, and now Sirona is making the TENEO and INTEGO treatment centers, as well as matching cabinetry, available in the United States. The treatment centers are built with premium materials, designed for patient comfort, and set up to optimize the efficiency of a digital dental practice. The treatment centers integrate CAD/CAM, implantology, and endodontic systems into the delivery unit, and the ergonomic designs maximize patient and clinician comfort.
