A new connection between Align Technology’s iTero intraoral scanner and IOS Technologies’ TS150 mill provides a complete chairside CAD/CAM workflow.
Now available to dental professionals in North America, the certified connection allows practices using the iTero to add chairside fabrication of same-day crowns, inlays, onlays and veneers, according to a press release. IOS Technologies is owned by Glidewell Laboratories which has been an iTero partner since 2007 and has worked on more than 100,000 restorations based on iTero scans.
The connection makes use of IOS FastDesign software for the design of the restorations with proposals for crowns, inlays and onlays based on Glidewell Laboratories’ experience in digital restoration design.
