The enhancements to the TRIOS system are mostly software upgrades that will be available to current TRIOS owners, according to a press release. Some of the upgrades to the digital impression system include the ability to capture HD photo images suited for case documentation and patient education while scanning, enhanced colors and details in the scan images, support for implant bridge and partial denture cases, a new slim design for the TRIOS cart featuring a multi-touch screen, and a TRIOS chair integration design that integrates the scanner among other chair-mounted equipment.
Updates to the Dental System software were previously announced, and include auto-crown functions, a redesigned user interface, a splint designer module and integration with TRIOS HD photos for detailed examination of margins.
