VITABLOCS RealLife ceramic blocks offer 3-dimensional esthetics for anterior chairside restorations. Using Sirona CEREC or inLab 3D V3.80 software, the technology allows the position of the restoration to be changed in the block, as needed, to reproduce the individual requirements for translucency, chroma and lightness. The restoration can be moved in all three spatial directions for design flexibility. A highly esthetic result can be created with a click of the mouse, significantly reducing design time.

The block's curved dentine core with surrounding enamel coat mimics the tooth’s natural enamel layered over the supporting dentin shade, providing natural esthetics. RealLife also eliminates the need for characterizing with stains or individualizing with veneering materials for fast efficient production and natural shading without hand layering.

RealLife VITABLOCS are composed of the same fine-structure, 4 micron particle size feldspar ceramic as VITABLOCS Mark II/TriLuxe, offering excellent polishing properties and abrasion resistance with reduced wear on grinding tools, margin chipping and polishing time.

VITA Rapid Layer Technology allows the manufacture of fully anatomical bridge restorations consisting of a framework and a natural-looking veneer in combination of CAD/CAM technology. The computer-assisted manufacturing procedure is a high speed bridge production using Sirona’s CEREC/inLab MC XL.

The process uses a simple and efficient technique of bonding the TriLuxe forte polychromatic ceramic to the VITA YZ substructure with an adhesive luting composite, creating a long lasting bond between the substructure and veneering ceramic for an aesthetic bridge restoration with long term durability.

The procedure offers a time advantage over the classical layering technique, and is consistently reproducible.

The VITABLOCS TriLuxe forte multi-layer block comes in a large size 40/19 which allows for digital veneering of bridge substructures of up to four units. Utilizing pre-colored LLI VITA YZ blocks reduces the need for coloring liquid and provides enhanced esthetics with increased color saturation and fluorescence. VITA’s Rapid Layer Technology software automatically calculates the milling data for both the full contour veneering ceramic, as well as the zirconia substructure for optimum support and minimal adjustments. The reduced zirconia substructure acts as a support for the veneering structure to enhance stability and avoid chipping.

Developed specifically for the CEREC inLab system, the latest inLab 3D software upgrade V3.80 offers multiple design modes, powerful, straightforward tools and a simple, predictable workflow.

V3.80 incorporates Sirona’s Biogeneric Software Technology that designs a custom, “true-to-life” restoration based on individual patient morphology rather than a pre-existing tooth model in a dental database. In effect, Biogeneric software takes the patient’s intact tooth structure into account and identifies the exact morphology of the missing structure necessary to bring the tooth back to its normal, uncompromised state, and enables inLab users to produce esthetically pleasing crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays, and anatomically sized bridges.

For example, in the new Multilayer design mode, the user begins by designing an anatomically sized bridge. This design is then automatically separated into two components: The framework core and the facing. Allowance is automatically configured for the minimum wall thicknesses of the materials. In addition, the software ensures that the two components fit together perfectly (i.e. without undercuts) after milling and sintering have been carried out.

Other features include:

• Buccal Bite Registration – The software can now register preparation and antagonist models together with the aid of just a few images from the Buccal aspect. Simply hold the two models in centric and acquire a few images to register the models together, eliminating the need for bite registration material

The Telio system of temporary restorative solutions for dentists, CAD/CAM users, and dental technicians comprises three lines of materials developed for shade and material compatibility—Telio CS, Telio CAD and Telio Lab. Exhibiting excellent resilience, Identium provides an accurate impression in the narrowest of spaces even in a moist sulcus and with the lowest achievable contact angle. Identium provides an optimal base for the identical transfer of a clinical case onto the working model because of its extreme hydrophilic properties and excellent flowability. Kettenbach LP will offer Identium in three different viscosities—medium, heavy and light—and fast sets are also available.

Identium® Medium has a high final hardness (A 60) and is intended for implants and fixed impressions, but is also suitable for crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays and veneers fabrication. Identium® Heavy is a high-viscosity tray material with a high final hardness (A 60), and suitable for the double-mix technique (in combination with Identium® Light) for the fabrication of crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, veneers, removable dentures and implants.

Both Identium® Medium and Heavy are available in 5:1 foil bags for Kettenbach’s Plug & Press® system. Identium® Light (A 46 Shore Hardness) is available in a 1:1 cartridge system. All three Identium® viscosities have a total working time of 2 minutes and an intra-oral setting time of 3 minutes, 30 seconds. All fast set viscosities have a total working time of 1 minute, 15 seconds and an intra-oral setting time of 2 minutes, 15 seconds.

VITA’s ShadeAssist shade communication software takes the guesswork out of case planning and streamlines the process by creating a detailed prescription and case planning document that can be printed or e-mailed.

ShadeAssist can be used as a stand-alone software where VITA shades can be entered manually for case planning and patient data storage, or in conjunction with the VITA Easyshade Compact where all the data is imported automatically for a complete digital shade solution.

A patient’s shade information is first created and retained within ShadeAssist by selecting which tooth is to be treated, either by its tooth number, or from a pictorial tooth chart. Once these notes are created, additional drawing tools allow for further information and clarification.

Case-related digital photographs may also be imported into the software for optimal viewing of aesthetics and characterization considerations. The observer is able to analyze the tooth more accurately by viewing influential nuances and the effects of translucency in addition to the tooth’s base shade. Feature tools for brightness and adjustment of contrast are included.

Once all the important information, images and notes have been added, the user has the ability to print three different versions of the prescription or case planning document: one for the lab, one for the patient and one for their own files. The software also enables the dental professional to include their company name and logo, creating a letterhead type document when printed.

Designed specifically to cut zirconia at high speeds, the ZR943 diamond disc is designed to cut off sprues from pressed ceramics and to separate the coping from the HIP zirconia blank. Available in FG shank only, the ZR943 disc is obtainable in three sizes (065, 080 and 100). With a medium grit of 100 µm, it has a 1 mm coating of quality industrial diamonds on 0.3 mm of the disc’s width.

Used at optimal speed of 160,000 rpm and with sufficient water cooling, the ZR943 diamond disc is also suited for the separation and contouring of veneer ceramics; however these discs are not designed for intraoral use.

The Programat S1 sintering furnace is a light-weight and compact unit that sinters single unit frameworks made of zirconium oxide materials in as little as 90 minutes (conventional sintering furnaces require five to eight hours). As a result, crowns and bridges with an IPS e.max ZirCAD or other ZrO2 framework can be fabricated in one day.

Additionally, the Programat S1 conserves energy through its “Power Saving Technology” creating a positive impact on production costs, because less time and energy are expended for the process. This efficient and economical sintering process does not jeopardize the high material strength and accuracy of fit of the restoration.

Another feature of the Programat S1 is its easy operation. The user-friendly control panel features a graphic display and membrane sealed keypad for easy programming. The OSD (optical status display) uses different colors to show operating status, which can be seen even from a distance. The Programat S1 also features a compact design and light weight.

ACRYL-MARVEL denture finishing and polishing system is formulated to simultaneously remove scratches and impart a high shine to full and partial dentures. It eliminates the need to stop working, wash pumice-like materials from the denture and change brushes during the polishing procedure.

ACRYL-MARVL is offered in a solid, bar-like material that eliminates the use of pumice or pumice-like powdery materials. It is used in a totally moisture-free environments. It allows the complete finishing and polishing of the appliance at the normal, sit-down working area. Small brushes or wheels may be effectively used in and around gingival cervical areas without disturbing the natural contours and other esthetic effects, which greatly enhances the appearance of the finished product.
