| New Sensodyne® Pronamel™ helps microharden softened tooth enamel
When combined with appropriate oral hygiene advice, brushing twice a day with Pronamel may help restrengthen the softened enamel layer, increasing its resistance to acid attack. Pronamel’s microhardening quality relates partially to its high fluoride bioavailability. Pronamel offers high available fluoride. Evidence suggests that fluoride may be effective in limiting the progression of erosion and abrasion. It is Fluoride that claimed to harden the tooth surface to make it more resistant to acid attack.
Pronamel has a neutral pH of 7.1 (7.4 when diluted 1:3 with saliva) which does not encourage enamel or dentin demineralization.
