Light emitting diodes are a combination of high performance, effectiveness and speed:
- At 1,100mW/cm², they are significantly brighter than most halogen lamps, their performance is equivalent to that of plasma lamps and they do not generate heat
- The emission spectrum is within the optimal range for most composites (camphoroquinone 470nm, PPD and PAB 430nm)
- Polymerisation takes between 6 and 12 seconds for most 2mm thick composites
