Indicated for treating hypersensitive teeth, for sealing dentinal tubules for cavity preparations or on sensitive root surfaces, and as a cavity liner under amalgam restorations, Profluoride Varnish is a 5% Sodium fluoride formulation with xylitol. The single-dose delivery system, which includes the brush and the material, simplifies application. The varnish sets quickly in the presence of saliva providing immediate and long-lasting results. It is available in adult’s dose (0.4ml) and children’s dose (0.2ml).
The varnish features a natural melon flavor without aftertaste, and contains no saccharin, aspartame or gluten. Its white transparent color makes the material invisible on the teeth and leads to a high patient acceptance.
A high immediate fluoride release makes the material suitable for treating sensitivities after scaling and root planing.
Profluorid has enhanced flow characteristics reaching areas traditional varnishes may miss and adheres well to moist surface.
