Xyli-Tots Lollies were developed by UCLA researchers who have determined that an extract of licorice root targets and kills the primary bacteria (Streptococcus mutans) responsible for dental cares. As the lollipop dissolved in the saliva, the resulting concentration of the herbs kills the cavity-causing bacteria in the mouth.
