| The first i-dontics center was established in mid-town Manhattan, specializing in cone beam CT imaging and image processing services for the local dental community. Then, in 2005, i-dontics expanded with new centers in Millburn, NJ and Brooklyn, NY. A fourth i-dontics center was opened in 2006. Anticipating the need to provide services to a greater number of dentists, and in turn their patients, i-dontics expanded their network by incorporating dentists who already owned a dental CBCT scanner. There are presently 6 Service Providers located in four states: New York, New Jersey, Florida and North Carolina, with more anticipated in the future. All i-dontics Service Providers are linked via a secure, HIPAA-compliant server that enables rapid transport and analysis of high resolution CT scanned images. These images are reconstructed at the processing center in New York City where i-dontics operates a Master Site for SimPlant®. SimPlant™ is a leading pre-operative planning software that integrates data from CT scans to provide precise surgical planning for implant insertion, removal of impacted third molars, analyses of the temporomandibular joint, diagnoses of complex root canal problems, treatment for sleep apnea, and more. | |
