Now, what's a practice management system? Well, that's something like Dentrix or PRACTICEWORKS or Eaglesoft. That's the basics that runs everything else.
The number one choice you're going to have to make is which one of those systems you use, because it's going to affect everything else.
The practice management system is the core that you buy other things for. You want digital radiography? Great. Good technology. But, what practice management system you use is going to influence which one of those you take.
Okay, okay. So, you know it's important. It's hard to change, once you make the decision. So, how do you make that choice?
What you want to look at is, how many people use the product? What is the suite of products that are available? What kind of training and support do they have?
Especially training, because I find the number one mistake dentists make with high tech is they don't get enough training. They don't know how to use it. And not only do you need a good system, you need to use it well, because the future is coming, and it will be amazing.
