Imaging Sciences International

Learn more about the i-CAT Dental Cone Beam 3D Imaging Systems. The original i-CAT is a comprehensive imaging solution, that provides tools beneficial for orthodontic work. The smaller i-CAT Precise offers complete treatment solutions for dental specialists. The i-CAT features the i-Collminator, a dose control technology which limits patient exposure, and controls field of view.

i-CAT is an award winning 3D system that offers complete treatment solutions for GPs, oral surgeons, orthodontists, and other specialists.

i-CAT is available in two models.  The full size i-CAT is capable of producing images from a single dental arch to an entire head.  It is a great choice for orthodontic usage, and can also be used for airway and TMD treatment as well as complex oral and facial surgery.

The smaller i-CAT Precise is designed for surgically placing implants and oral surgery.  i-CAT precise creates images from as small as a single dental arch up to both arches and the TMJ.

As a leading innovator in 3D dental scanners, i-CAT's unique technology helps you deliver outstanding patient care.  This includes proprietary software treatment tools and innovative hardware features not found on any other system.

Standard software treatment tools include implant, abutment and restoration planning, TMJ analysis, airway analysis, superimposition, super pano, ceph view, and TAD placement.  Optional tools include 3D ceph analysis, custom appliance design, and radiology reporting tool.

i-PAN is i-CAT's patented 2D panoramic technology.  It produces a traditional low dose 2D panoramic image without the need to take a 3D scan.  i-CAT's proprietary technology makes this possible without changing the sensor.

i-collimator is a unique dose control technology only available on i-CAT.  i-collimator limits patient exposure with fully electronically adjustable lead shields.  It allows for control over the field of view, creating smaller images and limiting exposure where needed.

Image quality is further enhanced with i-CAT's unique Ergonomic Stability System.  ESS is a patient seating system that minimizes detrimental image blurring.  ESS includes the highly stable i-CAT seated chair, rigid aluminum chin support, and unique carbon fiber head support.

i-CAT's unique Quick Scan produces the lowest dose 3D scan of the full dentition available.  This is done through a quick 4.8 second scan, and delivers excellent image quality while putting patient health first with the lowest dose possible.

i-CAT is more than just an exceptional 3D scanner.  It is a network and community of people and innovators.  When you bring i-CAT into your practice, you join a global community of thousands of dentists who share your passion and commitment to dental treatment and science.

Every i-CAT includes one and a half days of onsite training in your office for you and your staff.

i-CAT is unmatched in its educational offerings.  The 3D Institute offers live training in its centers, webinars covering the latest software, and our on the road training course, Radiology on the Road.  i-CAT tech support only handles calls on 3D technology, and is comprised of experts who can tackle any issue.
