TheraCal LC is dentistry’s first radiopaque, light-curable flowable composite containing “apatite stimulating” calcium silicates to protect and stimulate pulpal and dentin repair. TheraCal LC is ideal for direct and indirect pulp capping and also used as a liner.
Seal and Protect with TheraCal LC Pulp Capping Material and Liner from Bisco
TheraCal LC is a light-cured, resin-modified calcium silicate filled material designed for use in direct and indirect pulp capping, as a protective liner under composites, amalgams, cements, and other base materials.
It is an effective replacement for calcium hydroxide, glass ionomer, RMGI, IRM/ZOE and other restorative materials with the following advantages:
- Improved seal and bond to deep moist dentin
- Strong physical properties
- No solubility
- High radiopacity
- Significant calcium release that stimulates hydroxyl-apatite and secondary dentin formation.
TheraCal LC performs as a insulator/barrier and protectant of the dental pulpal complex. It is easily dispensed directly onto affected moist tissues requiring no mixing, clicking or triturating.
The proprietary formulation of TheraCal LC consists of tri-calcium silicate glass in an “ion permeable” hydrophilic monomer that provides significant calcium release which creates an alkaline-sustained environment to promote dentin tissue healing. The enhanced regenerative properties of TheraCal LC makes it ideal for quick and effective pulpal and tooth protection.
