Impression material hand dispense guns are a convenient way to add impression materials to impression trays. Usually made of plastic, these handheld tools attach to a cartridge of impression material and an impression material dispensing tip. The trigger mechanism controls the plungers which push the impression material through the mixing tip and into the tray. These guns make it easy to move the impression material and tray anywhere it's needed and with a little practice, it is easy to dispense precise amounts of impression material with each squeeze. Even if your practice uses an automated impression material mixer and dispenser, having a hand dispensing gun on hand is a good idea as a backup if the automatic machine has an issue.
