Direct Provisional Materials

Direct provisional materials are formulated to be placed intraorally to provide a temporary inlay or onlay type restoration. These materials require handling characteristics optimized for use in the intraoral environment so they can be placed and shaped to look and function similar to the tooth being restored. While these materials are not designed to be used as a permanent restorative solution, they should provide lasting and esthetic coverage. When using a direct provisional material be sure to match the shade to the surrounding dentition.
