Smaller Sized Digital X-Ray Sensors

Digital radiography provides numerous advantages over traditional film-based intraoral x-rays. Digital radiography is a faster process for clinicians, a safer process for patients and a cleaner process overall. The digital images also are both more diagnostic and more educational than traditional films. While film is available in different sizes to fit different patients, some digital intraoral x-ray sensors are available only in size 2. However, many manufacturers produce sensors in smaller sizes as well, and here is a comparison of some of those systems.
