Crimping orthodontic pliers have a variety of uses including placing stops and tubing on arch wires, crimping bands and gingival margins of crowns to insure a tight fit, and placing and crimping hooks. These crimping pliers may be angled or straight and should have a slim tip for the best intraoral access. Crimping orthodontic pliers are specially formed in order to avoid any damage or cutting of hooks, bands or tubes while crimping. They should be constructed of surgical grade stainless steel to ensure strength, durability and corrosion resistance, and be fully autoclavable.
