New Dental Product: High Impact Denture Base From SprintRay

SprintRay recently received FDA 510(k) clearance for its High Impact Denture Base resin, which is what the company describes as the first ceramic infused denture material for 3D fabrication and repair of full and partial removable dentures and baseplates.

The high-performance denture resins are designed to be used with High Impact Dental Teeth, according to a press release. The digitally produced dentures make in-office production possible, shortening the wait time and number of appointments required for denture patients.

High Impact Base and Teeth resins are formulated with SprintRay’s proprietary NanoFusion. Materials developed with NanoFusion feature a novel ceramic composition and form dense polymer chains to deliver dental prostheses with improved strength, longevity and durability. NanoFusion enables High Impact Denture Base and High Impact Denture Teeth to be infused with the optimal amount of ceramic for optimal fracture and wear resistance.

The SprintRay digital denture workflow was designed to solve the issues commonly faced with 3D printing and provide a complete end-to-end scan-to-print solution that includes design. In partnership with leading dental scanner manufacturers, patient data scans are easily transferred to SprintRay Cloud Design for expert design services. Design turnaround is 48 to 72 hours. Cloud Design offers three options for esthetics for full arch complete denture designs, providing dentists with customized choices to meet patient needs.

High Impact Denture resins are fully integrated with the SprintRay 3D printing ecosystem, including the Pro S 3D printer and ProCure 2 and Pro Wash/Dry systems, enabling dentists to quickly print a full denture. The seamless workflow delivers optimal results for patients in as little as two visits.
