Dentsply Sirona recently announced plans to launch the new DS OmniTaper Implant System in early 2023.
The implant system combines proven technologies with new features and can be relied on in most clinical situations, according to a press release. It is based on the apically tapered Xive Implant design, which has more than 20 years of success, and modernized with the conical EV connection and OsseoSpeed surface.
The OmniTaper EV Implant features ActiveBone Control design and an apically tapered shape. The ActiveBone Control design uses a combination of bone specific preparation protocols and the dual core bone condensing thread design to achieve high primary stability. This makes safe atraumatic implant placement possible, even in soft bone.
The conical EV connection ensures a tight, stable fit and minimizes micromovement and microleakage. It also provides access to the harmonized and comprehensive EV prosthetic range for restorative flexibility.
It will be available in most countries when it’s released early next year.
