Carestream Dental recently introduced a cloud practice management solution designed specifically for the oral and maxillofacial field: Sensei Cloud for Oral Surgery.
The solution is built on the Sensei Cloud platform, giving users secure access to information any time anywhere. It centralizes the functions these professionals need, providing easier access to vital data, according to a press release.
For example, users can view clinical notes within the electronic medical record (EMR) in line with the patient history. This provides a bigger picture of other treatment, vitals and prescriptions, without users having to open multiple pop-up windows. To ensure team members know exactly which services are to be performed on the patient, the Anesthesia Record includes a timeout feature.
Instead of documenting patient vital signs in a free text note, the Vital Signs Capture feature uses structured data. Team members can update specific fields in the EMR to create a complete clinical record, making it easier to update and later review patient history. Users also can review medications and allergies, lab cases and clinically relevant correspondences attached as a PDF in the EMR. Each one has its own audit history explanations for changes that can be quickly reviewed.
Sensei Imaging provides centralized HIPAA-compliant access to 3D and 2D images. Doctors can easily share images with referrals, other locations and patients. A built-in digital toolset gives users the ability to manipulate images directly in the cloud.
Sensei for Oral Surgery also provides actionable reporting that shows how a practice is performing, allowing owners and office managers to track progress. The platform can be further customized with Sensei Patient Solutions to increase engagement and improve communications with patients, whether using Patient Manager or an approved partners’ integrated services.
