New Dental Product: NightGuard Flex 3D Printing Resin From SprintRay

With the launch of SprintRay’s new NightGuard Flex 3D printing resin, patients now have more access to 3D printed occlusal guards.

SprintRay recently received FDA clearance to market the 3D printing resin as a Class II medical device in the United States, according to a press release. Developed to meet the growing demand for nightguards brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, SprintRay NightGuard Flex is indicated for fabricating orthodontic and dental appliances such as mouthguards, nightguards and splints.

The comfortable, flavorless resin is designed to deliver the optimal patient experience. It offers high impact strength and wear resistance and also makes same-day patient delivery possible.

With traditional production methods, it can take weeks to get a nightguard back. The flexible material enhances practice efficiencies by eliminating the need for third party resins and creating uniform, end-to-end dental 3D printing workflows. Its patient-centered design is flexible, durable, more comfortable and allows for same-day delivery through chairside SprintRay 3D printers
