New Dental Product: Bliss Hand Instruments From Acteon

Acteon recently introduced Bliss hand instruments featuring Bliss grip ergonomics.

The company used scientific studies based on dental instrument ergonomics and worked closely with clinicians to create a handle designed to make treatment more comfortable, reliable and effective, according to a press release.

The ergonomic instruments weigh 15 grams, helping to reduce muscle fatigue and contributing to a more comfortable grip. The flat parts of the instruments allow for better control and decreased pinch force.

The instruments are covered with firm silicone, which is softer than metallic surfaces. The soft “Bliss grip” isn’t slippery, giving users more control.

The cutting edges of the stainless steel curettes and scalers offer optimal hardness for enhanced performance and edge retention.

Instrument sharpness is key because it allows dental professionals to use less force, reducing muscle strain in the hand and wrist. Patients also feel less pressure, leading to a more comfortable experience. To achieve optimal sharpness, the company relies on the artisan skill in its production site in the Thiers region of France. Each Bliss instrument is hand-crafted by experts in metallurgy and cutlery.

The new Bliss range includes 39 instruments for diagnostics, restoration, periodontology and endodontics.
