The Polaroid P31 is a 3 in 1 caries detector, transilluminator and full HD intraoral camera.
The device helps detect most carious situations and can quickly go from fluorescence to transilluminator to full HD 1920 X 1080p resolution intraoral camera, according to the Polaroid website. Users can also capture and display all three at once, side by side.
The device, which can fit in most delivery units or be hung from a wall, is designed like a highspeed handpiece with a slim retraction head to help gain access. Its lightweight, all-metal body is durable and comfortable to hold.
The Polaroid P31 can go from an extreme close-up to a full-face image. It uses one-touch true autofocus and offers a push-button digital zoom. The LED intensity adjustment button allows for quick brightness adjustment, with three built-in intensity levels controlling the 30 LED lights.
The solution also features a black & white mode that can help locate craze lines and fractures, capturing and displaying greyscale x-ray images from an x-ray view box. The enhance color impression feature automatically improves lighting color saturation (cool, warm or original). The auto-focus lens provides sharp, crisp images for improved diagnostics and patient education.
While the device works with most imaging software, free imaging software is included. A wireless pack is also available.
