Royal Philips recently announced the release of its newest electric toothbrush: the Philips Sonicare 9900 Prestige featuring SenseIQ technology.
The toothbrush provides a personalized cleaning experience by sensing brushing style and adapting, according to a press release.
The all-in-one brush head provides plaque removal, stain removal and gum care. The angled bristles remove more plaque than other brushes while providing flex to compensate for excess pressure. Triangular tips can remove more stains, and the longer bristles provide a deep clean for healthier gums.
The Philips Sonicare 9900 Prestige uses sensors to detect the pressure applied, the cleaning motions used and the coverage achieved, up to 100 times per second. The sensors also monitor how long and how often patients brush, and the intensity is automatically adjusted when patients brush too hard.
The Philips Sonicare app is powered by artificial intelligence (AI) and works with the Philips Sonicare 9900 Prestige. Used together, the app provides real-time guidance on pressure, motion, position, duration and brushing frequency. Progress reports by day, week, month and year are available, offering personalized recommendations and actionable steps for better brushing.
Auto-syncing keeps brushing data up-to-date, even when patients don’t brush with the app by their side. That means brushing progress can be monitored from anywhere.
Pushing the integrated power control begins the brushing process. The toothbrush also has a sleek design, and no visible gaps or seams between the button and handle allows the brush to stay clean.
