Orascoptic recently introduced TruColor Technology for enhanced loupe illumination.
This high color rendering index (CRI) loupe-mounted LED headlight technology, which the company describes as the first and only of its kind, renders colors closer to natural sunlight for a higher level of color accuracy, according to a press release.
The company has achieved a color rendering index score of more than 90 across its full range of loupe headlights, which yields truer colors and enables clinicians to more accurately visualize the work they perform. Other loupe headlights on the market exhibit CRI values in the low 70s or below. Natural sunlight scores at the maximum 100 in the CRI index.
Orascoptic’s TruColor headlights also feature an advanced lens design and light beam control and are able to deliver high color rendering without sacrificing light output, spot uniformity or battery run time.
