New Dental Product: MED625FLX 3D Printing Material from Stratasys

A biocompatible 3D printing material, MED625FLX from Stratasys is transparent, flexible and well suited for printing orthodontic indirect bonding trays and implant case models including soft, flexible gingival masks.

The material is available for the Objet260 Dental and Objet260/500 Dental Selection 3D printers. It can be used to help improve the efficiency of orthodontic cases because 3D printed indirect bonding trays can reduce the time it takes to place brackets by 75 percent, according to a press release. The flexible trays are easy to remove from the patient's mouth after bracket placement.

Additionally, when used in conjunction with Stratasys' MED610 and MED620 materials, MED625FLX is ideal for producing complete implant models, gingival masks, and surgical guides in a single print run.
