New Dental Products: Flight CLAVE16+ and CLAVE23+ Autoclaves from Flight Dental Systems

Flight Dental Systems recently introduced the Flight CLAVE16+ and CLAVE23+ autoclaves.

Both table top systems are Class S steam injected pressure pulsing sterilizers, according to a press release. The pressure pulsing steam injection eliminates the air more fully than traditional sterilizers, making the systems ideal for hollow instruments and dental handpieces.

The autoclaves feature an integrated diaphragm type compressor in collaboration with MEDO USA – Nitto Kokhi to provide optimal drying capabilities. The new compressor reduces drying time from a 60 minute closed door drying cycle to about a 30 minute closed door drying cycle. That means shorter total cycle times and faster turnover of instruments and tools.

Other features include closed door drying with air assisted drying; built-in printer and USB capabilities; fully automatic programs for easy, fast sterilization; complete wrapped cycle time of 50 to 60 minutes; and a new rack system in the chamber to provide optimal space usage and higher capacity for both trays and cassettes.

The systems come with sophisticated software that provides more features and cycle settings. The CLAVE line features an independent steam generator that ensures quick sterilization cycles, a LCD display with a clear and easy to use interface, a stainless steel chamber and trays, and a double locking mechanism that provides added safety.

The CLAVE16+ is a 16 liter autoclave that can fit three trays inside the chamber, making it well suited for smaller dental offices. The CLAVE23+ is a 23 liter autoclave that can fit four trays inside the chamber. Both are fully automatic bench/tabletop autoclaves with preset programs. The software features five pre-programmed cycles and uses thermal, pressure and infrared sensors to detect any irregularities with the system and provides error codes to notify users of any issues.

The systems also work well with Flight stainless steel sterilization cassettes.
