Ormco recently released the Damon Q2 (DQ2) bracket system, which features 2x rotation control for improved efficiency and predictability.
DQ2 provides four solid walls with a refined precision slot and 2x the rotation control, according to a press release. The under tie-wing area is designed to better accommodate all power chain, elastics, steel ligatures and other auxiliaries. Designed for patient comfort and esthetics, the system features a small profile and size with smooth, rounded corners.
The bracket system’s rhomboid-shaped pad and new vertical scribe line help guide desired bracket placement, while the DQ2 drop-in hook provides improved bending strength and durability with Ormco’s elastics and auxiliaries. The system also provides a modified prescription for upper, central and lateral standard torque brackets.
DQ2 is available in the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, and select markets in Europe and the Middle East.
