Designed to provide clinicians and patients with an improved prophy experience, the Ultrapro Tx prophylaxis equipment family from Ultradent includes the Ultrapro Tx Air Handpiece, Ultrapro Tx Skini prophy angles, and Ultrapro Tx Extra prophy angles.
The new Ultrapro Tx Air handpiece features design elements such as lightweight, aluminum construction, and a 360° swivel for enhanced ergonomics and reduced clinician hand and arm fatigue, according to a press release. It features a soft-start motor to minimize splatter, vibration-free operation for enhanced patient comfort, and reduced friction and heat to allow for optimal cleaning while protecting enamel. The universal e-type motor is compatible with other attachments and nose cones, and the handpiece can be used with all disposable prophy angles.
The Ultrapro Tx Skini disposable prophy angles are designed for improved cleaning in interproximal areas, while internal blades reduce splatter. It also features an ergonomic shape with a shortened head and slimmer neck for improved access, better intraoral views, and reduced hand fatigue. It is available in flare, contra-angle and right-angle configurations.
The Ultrapro Tx Extra prophy angles are also designed for improved interproximal cleaning, reduced splatter, and enhanced ergonomics. It features smooth, quiet gears for a more comfortable cleaning for patients. It is designed with optimal cup flare and is also available with a tapered brush.
