Designed to provide dental practices with an affordable and convenient way for dental practices to communicate with patients, Vyne Connect from NEA Powered by Vyne is an encrypted email platform capable of safe two-way communication that includes Protected Health Information (PHI).
The email platform is compliant with HIPAA regulations and makes use of a minimum of two trusted encryption protocols for every message or attachment delivered, according to a press release. Vyne Connect makes use of existing email accounts but adds new capabilities including requiring patient-specific criteria in order to verify the recipient of a message; providing access to detailed delivery logs including instant notifications when the email has been viewed; allowing messages to be sent with expiration dates and times to limit their availability; the ability to recall messages; and the capability to revoke access privileges even after a message has been viewed. The email platform is being offered as a value-added service available to NEA FastAttach clients.
Getting started with Vyne Connect requires little setup or training, and because email is among the most common communications platforms, it can be implemented without disturbing existing workflows. Recipients of messages sent via the platform do not need to register for a special account and can download and reply to the messages at no cost and with the same security as experienced by the sender.
