Enhanced Dental Product: DentiMax 18 Practice Management Software

DentiMax recently introduced DentiMax 18 practice management software, which features several enhancements.

The software now has a more intuitive user interface, according to the company, and an updated scheduling feature. Multicodes for quick appointment scheduling allows up to 16 codes, tooth numbers, surfaces or quadrants.

The Appointment Book Pro now allows users to search and schedule by color or template block, as well as create custom schedule views with different times. The Patient Information screen makes it possible to mark patients VIP, which will hide their contact information based on security rights. Users also can clearly mark if a patient is deceased so no calls are made to the family. Medical Alerts are automatically updated with a date stamp.

The system’s insurance plan makes it possible to enter frequency allowances by codes, while recall tracking allows users to enter previous dates of service for recall. This automatically creates existing treatments for patients in the charting screen so the clinical staff will know when the patient was last treated. It’s also possible to view family recall dates.

Through the DentiMax Ledger, users can hover the mouse over the patient’s insurance used to auto calculate the remaining maximum. The tool tip shows the total amount of the patient’s payment for the day and the total amount billed on each claim. DentiMax also auto creates new billings any time the patient’s insurance changes.

With the software, users can mass delete treatment items, and change the date of existing restorations to the correctly completed date, as well as move “referred out” items into the “existing restoration” category when patients return to the office. There’s an option to name and identify multiple treatment plans, allow for electronic signing of accepted or declined treatment plan options, and a library of customizable and automated clinical note templates.

Through the Claim Screen, users can click one button to view claim details. Enhancements make it possible to select single or multiple claims, and mass edit the claim status from “ready to bill” to “billed,” or any other status for both primary and secondary claims.

Reports now have more detail and are easier to read. New features include a payment plan list, planned and scheduled treatment, scheduling statistics, inactive patients, declined treatment plans, patient retention and referral reports.
