Planmeca recently introduced the ProMax 3D LE, a 2D and 3D imaging system that features Planmeca Romexis imaging software and lowers the cost for entry into 3D technology.
The platform allows for future upgrades and updates, according to a press release. The unit is software driven and designed around SCARA (Selectively Complaint Articulated Robotic Arm) Technology.
Dentists can plan and verify implant placement using the realistic implant, abutment and crown models included in the Planmeca Romexis software. The implant library offers more than 66 manufacturers’ content and is frequently updated. Dentists can superimpose a soft-tissue scan and crown design with CBCT data.
The large Ø11x8 cm volume size allows imaging of upper and lower arches including the third molars or airway and third molars in one scan. There is one sensor for both 2D and 3D images.
