With the FDA approval of the company's E-Denture material, EnvisionTEC's Vida and Perfactory 3D printers can be used to print complete dentures.
The E-Denture material can be used to print the denture base, while previously FDA-approved E-Dent 100 and E-Dent 400 can be used to print the denture teeth, according to a press release. The new material will allow dental labs or practices with the company's Vida desktop or Perfactory 3D printers to create full or partial dentures with a completely digital workflow. The new material option further expands what those printers can produce, which already includes dental and orthodontic models, castable parts, bite splints and night guards, surgical guides, indirect bonding trays and flexible gingiva trays.
