Jazz Imaging recently introduced the SOLO sensor.
The sensor features patent pending technology that gives it an image area close to a Size 2 sensor with a size and shape that makes it as comfortable as a Size 1 sensor, according to the company, eliminating the need to purchase both sensor sizes. Dentists only need one sensor and one set of positioners.
The sensor also features comfortable corners for better positioning and an angled cable exit to reduce cable torque. It uses CCD technology instead of CMS technology, optimizing image quality at a low dose.
The sensor is available as part of a subscription service. For a monthly fee, dentists have access to the sensor, ongoing training and support, overnight sensor replacement, as well as firmware and software updates.
