Enhanced Dental Product: 3Shape Indirect Bonding Orthodontic Software

Enhanced Dental Product: 3Shape Indirect Bonding Orthodontic Software

3Shape’s Indirect Bonding Orthodontic Software is now digitally integrated with Henry Schein Orthodontics’ bracket systems.

The integration enables orthodontists and laboratories to virtually plan patient treatment, digitally place brackets and directly print transfer trays, according to a press release. It also eliminates the need for an analogue model and vacuum press.

The bracket systems available include Carriere SLX Self-Ligating Brackets, Maestro Mini-Twin Brackets and Neolucent Plus Ceramic Bracket Systems, which can be accessed directly from within 3Shape’s orthodontic software.

Through the software, treatment planning and bracket placement of virtual libraries are made with a digital study model of the patient. The study models are created using a TRIOS intraoral scan, a conventional impression scanner and/or a 3Shape dental lab scanner. Once treatment planning is complete, the bracket systems are placed using transfer trays. The trays are designed in the software and printed with a 3D printer.

More than 150 original bracket libraries and orthodontic solution providers are integrated with 3Shape orthodontic software.
