Technology on the Rocks 2017 Conference Set for May

Dentists will have the opportunity to take part in a dental technology CE adventure during the Technology on the Rocks 2017 conference, which is slated for May 18-20 in Sedona, Arizona. The event is designed as a “vacation and learning experience.”

During the morning hours, attendees can go on a three-hour bike ride led by event organizers Dr. Larry Emmott and Daniel Bobrow of AIM Dental Marketing, according to a press release.

Attendees who aren’t bikers can choose from a variety of other morning activities, including golfing, hiking, swimming, shopping and sight-seeing.

Technology-focused CE will be held each afternoon. During the lectures, dentists will learn how to use the Internet to attract more new patients and to build their patient referral network. Attendees will also learn how to minimize cyber security threats and how to properly use a variety of e-services, including phone reminders, payment acceptance, accessing charts, patient re-activation, chart documentation, benefits eligibility, HIPAA-compliant and digitally signed online patient forms, and data entry.

A select group of dental technology firms will be invited to underwrite the event. CE will be held at the Hampton Inn Conference Room from 1 to 5 p.m. every day.

The ABC television program Good Morning America dubbed Sedona ‘The Most Beautiful Place In America,’ which is one of the reasons this location was chosen for the conference.
