Dental System 2016 CAD software from 3Shape now features improved applications as well as a rewritten software for impression scanning that eliminates steps in the dental lab workflow.
Dental System 2016 is said to make designing faster and more intuitive, saving dental lab technicians time, according to a press release. The software’s impression scanning eliminates the need to pour gypsum models and other manual steps in the workflow.
Each side of a triple tray can be scanned in less than 30 seconds and single trays can be scanned in 75 seconds.
All 3Shape lab scanners can scan analog impressions and skip directly to CAD design, which can reduce crown turnaround time by nearly one day. The 3Shape D2000 and the D1000 lab scanners feature multi-line scanning technology for more detailed impression scanning.
The software also features increased stability for large cases such as implant bridges and makes it possible to easily work on advanced cases such as dentures. It integrates with TRIOS and third party IOS.
3Shape includes LABcare with all Dental System subscriptions to ensure users continuously receive the latest technology through annual software releases. LABcare includes access to the 3Shape support network as well as webinars and videos.
