DentLight recently introduced the Fusion 5, a curing light that features a 4,000 mW/cm2 curing beam and a new thin tip design.
The Fusion 5 comes with patented optics and a modular design, according to a press release, as well as upgraded optoelectronics that increase curing power by more than 50 percent of its predecessors.
The curing light also reportedly improves the uniformity and dispersion of the optical beam while significantly reducing heat generation for an efficient composite cure in as fast as 3 seconds.
The modular body is made of durable anodized aluminum that conforms to an intuitive LCD metal keypad interface. It also features a balanced design making it comfortable to hold, use and clean.
Fusion 5 also can be upgraded and used for transillumination to see caries, fractures and canals, and fluorescent imaging for early oral cancer detection.
