New Dental Product: Beautifil II Gingiva and Enamel Resin Composites from Shofu Dental

Shofu Dental recently released Beautifil II Gingiva and Enamel resin composites, a new line of bioactive, nanohybrid restorative materials.

The highly filled materials feature optimal flexural and compressive strength, exhibit high luster, and offer exceptional color stability before and after curing, according to a press release. The materials, available in pink and white shades, also have the ability to release and recharge fluoride, inhibit plaque build-up and neutralize acids.

The composites are indicated for direct anterior restorations and come in four enamel shades: high-value translucent, translucent, low-value translucent and amber. The shades can be layered and blended together to produce esthetic results. The optical characteristics make it possible to create polychromatic restorations with the morphology and esthetics of natural teeth, providing an alternative to veneers.

The pink composite is available in five gingiva shades—light pink, dark pink, orange, brown and violet.

Reestablishing gingival symmetry, esthetic correction of gingival recession, wedge-shaped defects, exposed cervical areas, splinting, and re-balancing pink and white esthetics are among the material’s indications. The resin composite also enables clinicians to hide exposed crown and bridge margins and implant abutments.

Beautifil II Gingiva and Enamel composites are available in single syringes, as well as Pink and Pink & White technique kits.
