New Dental Product: ADA Benefit Plan Analyzer from the ADA and Sikka Software

The American Dental Association and Sikka Software recently released the ADA Benefit Plan Analyzer, or the ADA BPA, a tool that makes it easy to compare multiple insurance plan costs and benefits side-by-side.

Dentists can evaluate potential revenue and costs of becoming a provider and compare outcomes through the Sikka Software Platform cloud, according to a press release.

The ADA BPA connects with practice management systems and automatically pulls out key data points needed to evaluate insurance plans. Dentists can choose from a list of PPO and DHMO plans from across the country to evaluate. The ADA BPA then scores plans on a 100-point scale based on practice-specific inputs. Each score is unique to individual practices and accounts for differences in operational management.

Through ADA BPA, dentists receive an estimate of gross revenue and overhead costs, as well as chair time and practitioner hours associated with serving patients in the network.

A free six month trial is available to all ADA members. Non-ADA members can purchase the tool through the ADA catalog.
