Hu-Friedy recently released new Cleaning Monitors designed to monitor the efficiency of the cleaning process when using washer-disinfectors and ultrasonic cleaners.
Designed to ensure instruments are properly sterilized, the Cleaning Monitors are the newest addition to the company’s Instrument Management System (IMS) Cleaning & Care Product Line and consist of equipment specific monitor strips and a reusable holder, according to a press release.
The monitor strips contain a test soil that mimics the presence of blood and tissue that might be found on the surface of an instrument after use. Full removal of the test soil indicates effective cleaning.
