3Shape Dental Systems and DENTSPLY Implants have teamed up to enable 3Shape users to access the TitaniumBase EV implant solution workflow and original library files from within the 3Shape Dental System CAD/CAM software.
This means 3Shape users can design and manufacture dental restorations using TitaniumBase EV for ASTRA TECH Implant System EV, according to a press release. They can now design and locally mill the implant ceramic component from the TitaniumBase EV restoration using e.max, zirconia, or any material they choose.
The TitaniumBase EV implant solution features a screw-retained designable ceramic component combined with a titanium abutment. Dental lab technicians can use the system to tailor the ceramic component specifically for each restorative case. This integration also makes it possible for users to work directly with original components for ASTRA TECH Implant System EV, helping to improve the digital workflow in the dental lab.
