The CS 3500 intraoral scanner from Carestream Dental now features CS Acquisition software for improved image quality.
The HD 3D imaging offers enhanced color and detail for more accurate digital impressions, according to a press release. This helps make diagnosis and surgical planning more precise from the beginning.
The improved quality and color of the images provides the details needed to support margin detection. Operators can easily switch to HD 3D to show patients these vivid images, improving patient communication and promoting improved case acceptance.
The intraoral scanner uses open format STL files for easy sharing, and can be plugged into a computer’s USB. There’s also no need for an external heater or trolley system to transport the scanner from room to room. The CS 3500 gives clinicians easy access to high-quality 2D and 3D images, and offers workflows for restorative dentistry, orthodontics and implant dentistry.
