Researchers from the Cutlery & Allied Trades Research Association found Hu-Friedy EverEdge Scalers are sharper when compared with American Eagle XP scalers.
The tests showed the Hu-Friedy scalers are 30 percent sharper when brand new and retain their sharpness, staying sharper than a brand new XP scaler even following simulated use, according to a press release. Hu-Friedy President Ken Serota said the research was important because it shows the value of uncoated scalers and the importance of sharpness for clinical efficiency and patient comfort.
