The MaxScan maxillofacial scanning option for the Verity CBCT imaging system from Planmed is now approved by the FDA.
The Verity is a versatile, stand-alone CBCT system for imaging anatomies in the upper and lower extremities. The MaxScan program is designed for imaging the jaw, teeth, sinuses, TMJ, airways, and more, according to a press release.
The unit offers an adjustable, soft gantry, and a dedicated positioning tray to help optimize patient comfort. The MaxScan option is designed to capture high-quality images at a low radiation dose.
