ImplantWide Aims to Make Implants Accessible to General Dentists

Designed to help general dentists overcome the obstacles preventing them from providing dental implant services, ImplantWide is a new Illinois-based startup that provides training, mentoring and access to a surgicenter with the latest dental implant technologies.

With its initial location now open in Schaumburg, Ill., ImplantWide allows dentists and dental team members four different ways to acquire the skills and experience to be confident in offering dental implant services to patients, according to a press release. With all options at ImplantWide, dentists can earn an hour of AGD Pace CE for every hour spent at the facility.

The four options include having ImplantWide serve as an outsource center for cone beam scans; having ImplantWide provide both the scan and a treatment plan recommendation; a team approach where a clinician works with an expert ImplantWide surgeon to perform the implant treatment at ImplantWide’s facility; and finally a solo approach where the dentist can pay a facility fee to use ImplantWide’s surgical operatories and equipment to place the implant which can either be purchased from ImplantWide or supplied by the dentist.

ImplantWide plans to expand beyond its first location to bring the dental implant surgicenter model to dentists in other areas.
