A new partnership between MEA|NEA and Virtru will bring secure and HIPAA-compliant email services to dental practices.
The service will allow practices to be confident in the privacy and protection of personal information sent via their existing email accounts thanks to end-to-end encryption, according to a press release. The system makes it easier for the secure exchange of health data between dentists, insurance systems and patients.
The system does not require complex software installation, and users can send the secure emails from the same accounts they are already using for other email purposes. The system works with Gmail, Outlook, Android and iOS as well as other email platforms. It also provides other email controls such as the ability to revoke an email even after it has been opened by the recipient, restrict forward and set an expiration date.
