An update to SonicFill bulk fill composite system and a new addition to the Herculite composite product line were among the new innovations recently introduced by Kerr.
SonicFill 2 provides improved esthetics and greater ease of use while maintaining the original SonicFill’s ability to be cured in 5 mm increments, according to a press release. Herculite XRV Ultra Flow is a flowable composite with optimal handling due to a special rheological modifier that improves flowability when the material is syringed and then increases surface tension after placement. This helps the material stay where it is placed, allowing clinicians to place highly functional and esthetic composite restorations.

SonicFill™ 2, an improved version of SonicFill – Kerr’s market‐leading bulk fill composite system – allows dentists to easily and reliably place and cure restorations up to 5 mm in depth in a single increment. Improved aesthetics and even easier use will make a product clinicians have come to love even better.
Herculite XRV Ultra Flow combines the long‐standing expertise of the Herculite brand with a new innovative flowable composite. It has excellent mechanical and esthetic properties, plus unique handling characteristics provided by a special rheological modifier that encourages flowability when syringed and then increases surface tension after placement to ensure the material does not run or drip.
