Nobel Biocare Launches Cement-Free Posterior Dental Implant Solution

Nobel Biocare Launches Cement-Free Posterior Dental Implant Solution

Created to provide clinicians with a cement-free treatment option that overcomes the common challenges of posterior dental implants, Nobel Biocare’s new solution includes implants, full contour implant crowns and anatomical healing caps.

Launching during the 2015 International Dental Show, this new treatment option includes 5.5 mm wide-platform implants from either the new NobelParallel Conical Connection or the NobelActive implant lines, according to a press release.

Both implant options optimize emergence profiles for larger molar crowns, and they are designed to provide immediate function when possible. Additionally, both wide-platform implant lines are available in a short, 7 mm length to avoid nerves. The Conical Connection implants are designed to provide clinical flexibility and compatibility with all bone qualities, while offering a straightforward placement protocol.

In this new workflow, the implants are restored with full contour zirconia NobelProcera FCZ Implant Crowns which are monolithic and screw-retained. The screw channel can be angulated to meet individual case requirements, and the crowns are available in eight shades.

Another part of the new workflow is the PEEK Healing and PEEK Temporary Abutments which are designed to match molar contours. The abutments come with an optimized emergence profile, reducing the number of chairside adjustments.
