Ray Co., in partnership with LED Dental, is launching the RIOSensor Intraoral Radiography System to provide dental practices with high quality and dependable intraoral imaging capabilities.
The digital sensor provides a true resolution of more than 20 line pairs/mm, and the system provides custom x-ray filters to optimize sharpness and contrast, and improve diagnostics, according to a press release. The sensor is available in two sizes, both of which feature tapered edges, rounded corners and are 5.3 mm thick, which makes them comfortable for patients, and convenient for clinicians.
With active acquisition technology the sensor is always ready to capture an image, and a direct USB connection allows plug-and-play connection to most computer systems. RIOSensor integrates with LED Imaging Software for image storage and display.
The cable connection also is designed to withstand regular use, and the slim cable design is both strong and flexible. With a water-tight seal on the sensor housing, the RIOSensor can be submerged for disinfection. The sensor is designed to stand up to regular clinical use with a shock-absorption system to protect against drops, bites and other impacts.
