EnvisionTEC 3D printers are now approved for printing dental models and surgical drill guides designed in 3Shape software.
For model production, the EnvisionTEC 3Dent printer is now compatible with 3Shape’s Dental System and CAMbridge software packages. 3Shape performed the validation to confirm the printer’s accuracy in producing sectioned models, unsectioned models and dies, according to a press release. The models are printed in E-Denstone material.
Additionally, drill guides designed in 3Shape Implant Studio can now be produced using the EnvisionTEC Micro DGP printer and Clear Guide M material, according to a press release. The guides are designed in the software after the implant position has been approved and then used during surgery to ensure proper placement to support ideal outcomes.
